The Technical Department currently constitutes of two subjects: Agriculture and Business Studies. These are subjects that a learner can never wonder why he/she is studying them because of their direct applicability.
Although we are not offering Computer Studies currently, the school has a computer lab which is well equipped with modern computers, printers, scanners, photocopiers and projectors. Students get to learn a thing or two while interacting with them.
Both agriculture and business studies are compulsory in form 1 and 2. In the third term of Form 2, students can choose one of the two subjects depending on what they want to pursue in life.
Earlier, the department had stopped offering agriculture for a while because the school lacked a permanent TSC teacher of the subject. However, this was solved in the year 2017 and now every student who wishes to do agriculture up to form 4 can do so.
Brenda Schoepp’s grandfather used to say that once in your life you need a doctor, a lawyer, a policeman and a preacher, but every day, three times a day, you need a farmer. We also need business persons as much, don’t we?
