Kiswahili is the pride of Kenya and no doubt an important subject for the entire Ndiaini Girls’ fraternity. All students take Kiswahili as a compulsory requirement in the final K.C.S.E. exams. Therefore, the subject has grown in many ways in leaps and bounds in spite of numerous challenges. Apart from being well bounded and appreciated in the school over the years, Kiswahili department has impacted positively in the overall achievements that Ndiaini Girls' has attained.
Currently the department is served by a dedicated staff of three teachers. The department equally enjoys tremendous cooperation and support from the students, teachers and administration. On that strength, it has continued to witness notable achievements through improved performance over the years. The average mean grade over the last five years has been C (minus). The subject is well liked by students as witnessed in the great enthusiasm shown by students who willingly and actively participate in activities organized by the department.
In K.C.S.E. 2013 to 2015 the subject registered a positive improvement from 5.405 to 6.262. We look forward to better results in coming years. Our students have shown they are equal to the task and their performance in Kiswahili has been improving as illustrated below:
